Strengthening our Healthcare System

I’ve stood with Governor Healey as she committed state resources to protecting our citizens’ ability to access reproductive health care as the Supreme Court chipped away at those rights in 2023.  

In wake of the new Trump administration’s attack on healthcare in 2025, I was the first person to file a $2 million budget amendment to fund Planned Parenthood, which our House Leaders approved and the Governor signed into law. 

As a member of the join committee on healthcare finance, I’ve been part of the ongoing conversation about bringing down the cost of healthcare for our families and small businesses. I want to make sure our system of healthcare oversight drives cost reductions and delivers quality care. 

I’ve been a consistent advocate for the people who rely on Anna Jacques Hospital and signed on to budgets that bring more stability to this community resource. Even with my work with the cannabis industry, I have prioritized public health and making users aware of the risks from cannabis use.
